The Role
We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded, and creative Business Development & Marketing Manager to support Cognacity’s continued growth.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this is a varied role combining business development, client engagement, and marketing.
You will support the generation and progression of new opportunities, strengthen relationships with prospective and existing clients, and help increase Cognacity’s profile across our target markets.
This is a hands-on role within a growing organisation, where flexibility and collaboration are key.
We are looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is comfortable balancing commercial activity with creative thinking and practical delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business development activity, including prospect research, CRM management, pipeline tracking, and client engagement
- Support client outreach, proposals, presentations, and follow-up activity
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Manage and develop Cognacity’s social media presence, particularly LinkedIn
- Create engaging content and support website updates, campaigns, events, and thought leadership activity
- Work with internal experts to translate Cognacity’s expertise into compelling external content
- Bring ideas, energy, and organisation to support the wider growth agenda
About You
You will be someone who is:
- Experienced in business development, marketing, sales, or a combined commercial role
- A confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Comfortable engaging with clients and representing an organisation externally
- Experienced in using CRM systems and supporting sales activity
- Creative, organised, and proactive
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a growing SME environment
Healthcare experience is not essential. We are looking for someone with strong commercial and marketing foundations who is curious about psychology, performance, and the work we do.
