So Young Park is a HCPC and BPS-registered Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over nine years of experience across public, private and third sector mental health services in the UK. She has worked within the NHS, psychiatric hospitals and charities.
She offers short- and long-term therapy for individuals struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, interpersonal difficulties, adjustment to life changes, stress and burnout, workplace issues, bereavement and low self-esteem. She offers a thoughtful and compassionate approach to therapy. Her pluralistic practice is grounded in person-centred and relational values, and integrates a range of therapeutic models to suit the client’s unique context, needs and goals. Drawing on both professional training and lived experience of navigating multiple cultural contexts, she brings a nuanced and empathic understanding of belonging, identity and transition. She holds close awareness of her own positionality as well as the complex intersectionality that shapes our world, and strives to foster a safe and inclusive therapeutic space where clients feel seen, understood and supported.
So Young is recognised by AXA, Aviva, WPA, Cigna and Vitality, and works by video conference and at Welbeck Street.
