Dr Solomis Solomou
Consultant Psychiatrist – Adult & Old Age Psychiatry
Dr Solomis Solomou is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist expertise in Adult and Old Age Psychiatry. He is the clinical lead of an NHS memory clinic in North London, where he focuses on memory assessments and the diagnosis and treatment of dementia and other cognitive disorders.
Dr Solomou provides compassionate, person-centred care for a wide range of mental health conditions, including dementia (both before and after diagnosis), depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and complex psychiatric issues linked to physical illness. His approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
He holds a medical degree (MBBS) from Queen Mary University of London and additional degrees in Biomedical Science and Nutrition from King’s College London. He completed his psychiatry training in North Central London and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He also holds a PhD in Mental Health from Lancaster University and continues to contribute to research as a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London.
Dr Solomou is fully registered with the General Medical Council and is approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act. He is fluent in English and Greek.
Outside of work, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his family and friends.
