Dr Maheera Tyler is a compassionate and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who qualified in Medicine in 2010, graduating with an MBBCh from Cardiff University. She became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2018 and completed her specialist psychiatry training in North Central London. She is an Approved Clinician under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act.
Dr Tyler has worked as a Consultant in a busy general adult community mental health team in North London, where she supported adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties including psychosis, mood disorder, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and ADHD. She now specialises in Perinatal Psychiatry at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, providing support to women and families during pregnancy and in the postnatal period. Dr Tyler is a kind, patient focused clinician who works collaboratively with patients to understand their experiences and develop individualised treatment plans. She takes a thoughtful, evidence based approach to care.
She treats a broad range of mental health conditions and is committed to offering care that is respectful, supportive, and focused on each person’s goals and wellbeing.
Outside of work, Dr Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and attending live music events.
