Dr Harrison Howarth BSc MBBS MRCPsych graduated from Imperial College London School of Medicine with a distinction in medicine and a first-class honours degree in research sciences. He developed an early interest in psychiatry and completed his training in North Central London.

Harrison is experienced in the care of patients with a range of presenting difficulties including complex depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis and substance misuse issues. He specialises in the treatment of affective disorders (anxiety and depression-spectrum illnesses), has a particular interest in complex psychopharmacology, and is a clinical expert in adult ADHD.

Harrison is widely published in both the fields of psychiatry and general internal medicine. His research interests include social equity in mental health and the mental health of athletes competing at the elite level. Harrison has particular expertise in the management of ADHD in elite athletes, including liaison with anti-doping organisations such as WADA. Harrison has led on the standards for ADHD assessments and reports, and chairs the ADHD clinical peer group at Cognacity.

Outside work, Harrison has a passion for music and plays in a folk-rock’n’roll band. He loves all things countryside, and enjoys long walks with his dog, Finn.
