Dr Emma Sedwick has a rare background for a coach, having trained as a doctor and having experience of business. With her medical and psychiatric background, she brings a wealth of experience of people. She has seen people at their best and at their worst. She now enjoys helping people achieve their best. She knows how our brains and bodies interact and so can help people make significant changes. Whilst she is clear about the boundaries between coaching and therapy, she also helps people appreciate how their patterns of behaviour have been established and what they need to do to change these for the better.
Emma has coached senior executives in a variety of organisations and sectors for the last 15 years, including senior partners in professional services and chief executives in complex organisations. She has supported a number of people through regulatory processes with the FRC. She has an extensive toolkit to bring about effective change, including an emotional literacy model, to raise people’s awareness of their emotional state and to develop resilience. The people she works with describe her as professional, calm and a deep listener. They also say she is able to strike the right balance between being supportive and challenging.
Emma has an MBA, Diploma in Coaching and Behavioural Change and Coaching Supervision Certificate, all from Henley Business School, in addition to being a Certified Practitioner in Brain and Behavioural Change. Emma is accredited as a Master Executive Coach by the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS). In addition, she supervises other coaches, individually or in groups.
