Dr Alex Langford
Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Alex Langford sees people with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, stress and adjustment, medically unexplained or ’functional’ disorders, depersonalisation disorder and specialises in safe de-prescribing of psychiatric medications. He also does ADHD assessments following a standard assessment if indicated. He sees patients in Oxford, London and by video conference.

Alex has an interest in occupational psychiatry (eg burnout, work addiction, fitness for work) and is a medical expert witness in civil cases.

Alex completed his psychiatric training in London and Oxford, and also has a degree in psychology and postgraduate qualifications as a physician. He worked as an NHS consultant psychiatrist until 2022 before going fully into independent practice. He is recognised by most insurers.

Alex has a keen interest in Oxford United FC, running and spending time with the family.
