Diana Badare, Clinical Nutritionist
With over ten years of clinical experience as a nutritionist, Diana has worked in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. She has inpatient experience at the Priory Hospital involved providing dietary advice to patients recovering from addiction, eating disorders, bulimia, binge eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, sensory issues, ADHD, PICA, disordered eating, excessive body weight and associated comorbidity such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders and diabetes.
In her clinical experience at Schoen Clinic Chelsea, she worked as Lead Nutritionist supporting dietetics services across three Schoen Clinic hospitals (Chelsea, Birmingham and York). This included supporting dietitians and nutritional services for adults and CAMHS inpatients and outpatient services. She also established and led nutritional groups for CAMHS ED Day Care Chelsea and ADHD programmes. Diana has worked with patients’ families to extend nutritional support at home. In her work she aims to deliver nutritional support in a relational, collaborative and patient-centred manner and when appropriate provide challenging advice to facilitate positive change.
In her role as Diet Services Manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Diana manages a team of diet technicians and oversees the functions of two highly specialised dietetic units that produce nutritional support for inpatient care.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys live music concerts, outdoor activities with family and friends, preferably by the sea or in mountainous regions.
