Dr Deborah Kinsey is a Counselling Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who works with adults, adolescents, children, and their families.
Deborah has extensive experience working with low mood, anxiety including OCD and phobias, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and interpersonal difficulties, as well as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is also part of a multidisciplinary team conducting Autism assessments, administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2)
Deborah has worked at Cognacity for over 10 years, and previously worked within the NHS IAPT service, where she delivered evidence-based interventions with a strong emphasis on assessment, formulation, and specific treatment protocols.
In her private practice, she draws upon a more holistic approach integrating third-wave CBT approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practice. Deborah is experienced in delivering therapy both online and face-to-face.
In her spare time, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two cats, and visiting the theatre.
