Cristina Sperindei is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorders – ASD, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder- ADHD, Learning Difficulties- LD, Intellectual Disability – ID, Oppositional and Defiant Disorder – ODD, Conduct Disorder) and Mental Health in children and young people.
After qualifying in Italy as a Clinical Psychologist and gaining experience in a Paediatric hospital, Cristina relocated in London and obtained the recognition of her title with the Health and Care Professions Council – HCPC. Since then, she worked for the National Health Service – NHS in Children and Adolescents Mental Health Services – CAMHS (Community outpatient clinic) in supervising professionals and completing complex neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment (mainly Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy – CBT, Psychoeducation and Positive Behavioural Support – PBS) along with conducting clinical research and service quality improvement projects.
During these years Cristina developed an interest in improving ADHD assessment implementing neuropsychological testing to the usual diagnostic process and further investigating ADHD features and differential diagnosis. Along with ADHD, Cristina has extensive clinical experience in ASD and comorbid anxiety and depression which she acquired in working with children, young people and their families with a systemic approach.
