Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist

 

Job type: Part-time/Full-Time – 0.4 – 1.0FTE; need to offer at least one evening (1700-1900/2000) per week; Saturday availability also desirable, but not essential.

Location: Hybrid role – Marylebone, London; and home working.

Salary: Basic: £64,000pa to £72,000pa FTE based on experience.

Role Overview: Join our vibrant Psychology and Therapy Team at Cognacity, providing mental health assessments and interventions to our diverse clients aged from 13 upwards. Cognacity provides evidence-based mental health support for the full range of clinical presentations, including anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, bipolar affective disorder, psychosis, and eating disorders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions for Cognacity clients.
  • Deliver face to face and/or online therapy for a range of presentations referred to the psychology and therapy team.

 

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and full registration with the HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council) as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience as a practitioner psychologist.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work alongside a diverse team of professionals.
  • Must be registered with BUPA (or able to register upon starting the job) and ideally registered with the other common private medical insurers as well (e.g. AXA, Aviva, etc) to ensure able to receive referrals as soon as possible into the role.
  • Clinical experience in delivering EMDR desirable, although not essential.
