In the latest episode of the BBC’s Stacey & Joe, actor and broadcaster, Joe Swash reveals his ADHD concerns with Cognacity’s Psychiatrist Dr Harrison Howarth. Dr. Harrison Howarth, BSc MBBS MRCPsych, is widely published in both psychiatry and general internal medicine. His research focuses on social equity in mental health and the mental health of elite athletes. He has particular expertise in managing ADHD in elite athletes, including liaising with anti-doping organisations such as WADA. Dr. Howarth has led the standards for ADHD assessments and reports and chairs the ADHD clinical peer group at Cognacity.
Dr. Howarth graduated with distinction in medicine and first-class honours in research sciences from Imperial College London School of Medicine. He developed an early interest in psychiatry and completed his training in North Central London. Dr. Howarth has extensive experience in treating patients with a variety of conditions, including complex depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and substance misuse. He specialises in affective disorders (anxiety and depression-spectrum illnesses), has a keen interest in complex psychopharmacology, and is a clinical expert in adult ADHD.
